Crayons have just become far too complicated.
source
Is it weird that I’ve always been more of a pencil crayon kinda guy? I don’t know why. But I still remember the names from the Laurentian set. Like Sky Magenta, and Arizona Topaz. And Cherry Red, and Emerald Green, and French Green - and anyone who coloured a forest with Emerald Green was kidding themselves.
I’m tempted to impulse-buy/dust off a set of Laurentian pencil crayons, but I’m willing to bet one of two things will happen:
- The same thing will have happened to them as indicated above, and if I don’t get the colours I remember and only those colours, I will be unimpressed.
- I’ll be all into them for like 4 minutes and then put them away.
Sigh…
