“This task was appointed to you, Frodo of the Shire. If you do not find a way, no one will.”
I’mma speak out. With all respect, Galadriel, fuck you. Fuck you very much. It was Sam who “found the way”. Frodo would have failed like a little bitch without Sam. Sam is the true hero. Incorruptable, he was. Frodo used and abused out good friend, Master Gamgee.
Not that I don’t like Frodo at all. He’s aight.
To be fair, Sam was uncorrupted because he hadn’t been in direct contact with The Ring for all that long. But you’re right that Frodo didn’t do it alone, it was very much their joint effort. “Frodo wouldn’t have gotten far without Sam.”
Team effort. Frodo carried the Ring, and we can’t truly know how Sam would have fared doing so, because it didn’t happen. We can (and WILL) speculate, but Sam’s part was not in carrying the Ring. Sam’s part was in giving strength to Frodo, he who bore the ring. Without one, the other would have fallen. But bearing the Ring, the very specific task that Galadriel is referring to, was Frodo’s burden.
